** Update on 24 November 2021 – Soon after this post was published, the publisher have once again removed the magazine from the PressReader App, unfortunately. **
Sometime in March last year, I posted an article where I shared with fellow readers on how they can read the latest edition of “The Edge Singapore” via the NLB Mobile, as well as the PressReader App for free.
Unfortunately, after a couple of months, the magazine was made unavailable for reading – and I have received quite a number of messages there and then asking me about it.
I have been trying to keep a lookout on this and just yesterday, I noticed that The Edge Magazine is once again made available on the PressReader App once again (and you can read it as long as you have an online membership with the NLB.) – however, it seems that there’s delay (by about a week or so) in the upload of the latest issue (but since it’s free, let us wait patiently for the latest issue to be uploaded.)
In this post, I’ll show you the steps you can take to start reading the latest issue of the popular finance magazine:
Step #1: Download the NLB Mobile and PressReader Apps from your App Store/Google Play Store
Depending on the mobile platform you are using, you need to first download the following 2 apps (which is the NLB Mobile and the PressReader app) via the App Store or Google Play Store:
i. NLB Mobile – App Store / Google Play
ii. PressReader – App Store / Google Play
If you have already downloaded it in the past, make sure you’ve updated both apps to the latest version.
Step #2: Access the PressReader App through the NLB Mobile App
Go to your NLB Mobile app, and look out for the menu item “eNewspapers & eMagzines” (I’ve highlighted where you can find it via a red arrow in the screenshot below – by the way, the screenshot was taken on my iPad Pro, so depending on whether you are using a mobile phone or tablet to access the NLB Mobile app, the screen layout may differ slightly):

Upon tapping on the “eNewspapers & eMagzines” menu item, you’ll see the following screen – all you need to do is to tap on the “Proceed” button all the way at the bottom of the screen, and the PressReader app will automatically open up:

Step #3: In the PressReader App, Tap on the “Singapore” Option
Once you’re in the PressReader app, the next thing you’ll need to do is to tap on the “Singapore” option located somewhere on top of the screen (I’ve circled out where it is in white in the screenshot below):

Step #4: Locate “The Edge Singapore” from the List of Magazines
You’ll be shown a list of magazines to which you have complimentary access to as a member of the NLB Mobile app. From this list, locate “The Edge Singapore” and tap on it (I’ve highlighted where you can find it in a white rectangular box in the screenshot below):

Step #5: Tap on the “Read” Button to Start Reading the Latest Edition of the Magazine
Finally, all you need to do is to tap on the “Read” button to start reading the latest edition of the magazine, or you can tap on the previous issues to read them (if you wish):

There you go, enjoy the read!
